Gathering Moonbeams

by The Poet Benjamin

I was gathering moonbeams

Tucking them into my palms

As my fingers wrapped around

Forming circles

As accretions swirling together

Entering orbit with the night sky

Playful,

Dancing and swaying with the stars

Glittering and gleaming

Opening my palms to beam back

Holding the moon in my arms

Carrying the weight of the heavens

As I gently rocked the world to sleep

Cradled,

On a bed of dreams
